Wedding Photography Pricing + Packages

This bespoke service can be completely tailored to you. Options include full and half day photography packages, a video highlights package, or you can go for the full shebang –  a full length wedding film documenting every detail of your day. See below for pricing details.

Half day photography coverage (up to 4 hours) – £950

This is the perfect package for small, intimate weddings (I count small as anything under 20 guests) that don't require full coverage of the entire day. Maybe you'd like photography of the ceremony, champagne reception and some couple or group portraits afterwards. Just the two of you? How about an adventure session to capture all those post-wedding feels? How you want to work it is entirely up to you; of course I'm happy to advise if you're unsure. Get in touch and let's chat!

FULL DAY PHOTOGRAPHY COVERAGE (UP TO 12 HOURS) – £1950

If you're looking for complete coverage, this one's for you. From those gorgeous getting ready shots before the ceremony all the way through to the moment your guest let loose on the dance floor (and then some), I'll stick with you for the entire day and capture each and every moment, big and small.

Wedding Videography Pricing + Packages

Sure, a picture says a thousand words, but a film? That's a whole other ball game. There's something magical about capturing moving images, they're like memories bottled up. Whether you opt for the full shebang or a short cinematic highlights reel that's perfect for sharing, documenting your wedding day with video is an incredible way to remember it for years to come.

Doug + Aby

Snowstorms, river dips and smiles all round. Welcome to Doug and Aby's joyous winter wedding at St Mary's Wedding Space, Fasnacloich, Appin

Cinematic highlights reel – £1450

This short, cinematic film reel showcases the key moments you want to remember plus some of the wee ones you might have missed. Think of it as a summary of your day as it plays out – setting the scene, showcasing impressionistic snippets that tell the story of the day, and capturing how it felt in a fun and creative way. Sure, I may offer some direction, but my aim is always to capture authentic moments and interactions.

It's important to note though that this is not a full feature length wedding film showing the entire ceremony and speeches (if that's what you fancy, check out my second package, the Full Shebang). Also, while we're on the subject of "what it's not" – I should let you know that I have a strong aversion to cheesy wedding films. So I can guarantee, no cheese.

This package includes:
  • Full day coverage from the getting ready bits to the moment your guests hit the dance floor (and then some)
  • 1 videographer (that's me!) with a multiple camera set up. I usually have one placed on a tripod, while I shoot the other hand-held. I'll be there at all the key moments, seamlessly mingling to get all those juicy candid shots
  • Your finished film is edited, colour graded and set to fully licensed music so you can share however and with whomever you like
  • The result is a beautifully crafted 6–8 minute cinematic highlights reel set to fully licensed music. There is also the option of including some audio that is recorded separately (this can be a recording of your vows, a reading, a poem that speaks to you... I'd love to hear your ideas)
  • You will also receive a physical gift package that contains your film on a wooden USB along with a few other goodies (I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise though!)

Ash + Ash

Yup, they're both called Ash!

THE FULL SHEBANG – £1950

This is a full day of video coverage, including the entire ceremony, the speeches and all the key events of your wedding day. Basically, this is the big one folks!

THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES:
  • Full day coverage from the getting ready bits to the moment your guests hit the dance floor (and then some)
  • Complete coverage of your ceremony so you can relive the moment again and again
  • All the speeches (yup, even the bits you'd probably rather forget!)
  • A beautifully crafted 6–8 minute cinematic highlights reel set to fully licensed music
  • Your finished films are edited, colour graded and set to fully licensed music so you can share however and with whomever you like
  • You will receive a physical gift package that contains your film on a wooden USB along with a few other goodies (I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise though!)

FAQ

What is your booking process?

First up, I encourage you to have a good old rummage around my website and Instagram to get a feel for my style.

I like to chat to my couples before booking so if you like what you see, get in touch and we can either arrange a video call or meet in person if you're local. When you're ready to book, I ask for a 20% deposit to reserve your date, with the remaining fee payable at least 2 weeks before your wedding day.

Of course, I'll be in touch regularly to keep up to date with your plans, and I'll be available if you have any questions before the big day.

Do you travel for weddings?

I'm based in Leith, in north Edinburgh, but I do travel around the country for weddings! I don't charge for travel within 30 miles of my home in Edinburgh (EH6); anything over 30 miles is charged at 50p per mile within the UK. Depending on distance, overnight accommodation may also be required. For weddings that are further afield, just drop me a line and I will be happy to calculate a bespoke quote for you.

Are you insured?

Yes, with both public liability and professional indemnity.

How much do you charge?

Ahhh time for the nitty gritty. My pricing starts at £950 for half-day photography, which is perfect for smaller weddings and elopements that don't require coverage for the entire day. More coverage will be (surprise surprise) more expensive. You can check out all my pricing options for photo and video on my pricing page.

What's a second shooter and do I need one?

A "second shooter" or "second photographer" is someone who works alongside the main photographer on your day to photograph different angles, different situations and assist the photographer throughout your wedding day. While you're having couples portraits taken, the second shooter will capture candid shots of your guests mingling for example.

Though not always essential, second shooters can be an amazing addition to your day if you want to capture simultaneous action. The photographer can only be in one place at a time after all! I normally recommend a second shooter for large weddings or for weddings where the couple are getting ready at different locations.

The price is an additional £350 to cover an additional photographer for the day and the extra editing time for me. If you're not too sure about this one I'm happy to advise!

Do you offer videography?

Abso-bloody-lutely! Documenting your wedding day with video is an incredible way to remember it for years to come! I offer two options for videography: a short, cinematic highlights film showcasing the key moments you want to remember plus some of the wee ones you might have missed; or a full feature-length shebang that covers the full ceremony and speeches. Head on over to my pricing and packages page for more details on video options.

Do you do photography and videography at the same time?

Oh how I wish I could say YES! But I'm afraid I don't shoot photography and videography at the same time. The risk of missing a key moment while switching between the two is, in my opinion, way too high! And once the moment's gone, it's gone! If you want both photos and video of your wedding day I always recommend having a dedicated photographer and videographer separately.

How many images will you take on the day?

This is totally dependent on the type of wedding I’m shooting, but as a minimum I usually say around 500 for a full day of photography, though it's often more. There's no point in me holding back certain images just to keep the numbers down: If it's a good pic, you're getting it! There will be some that don’t make the cut of course, but you get all the images that I keep and fully edit. Those that don't make the cut will most likely be duplicates, blinkers or blurry (in a non artsy way!)

Do we need to feed you?

If I’m shooting a full day for you then yes please, I would really appreciate that! It’s a long day and there aren’t many opportunities for a rest, so a hot meal while you're all having your dinner is necessary to keep me going. It doesn’t have to be what your guests are eating, but it should be at the same time so that I don’t miss anything.

How will you deliver our photos and/or film?

Your photos will be delivered via your own online gallery. From here you can easily view and download your images, share them with friends and family, order prints, and make any selections should you wish to purchase a wedding album from me.

Films will be delivered in a physical gift box that contains your film on a personalised wooden USB along with a few other goodies (I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise though!)

How long until we can see our photos and/or film?

I usually send 10–15 preview images within a few days of your wedding, with your fully edited gallery following within 8–12 weeks.

If you've booked me for videography, I aim to send you your fully edited film within 12 weeks of your wedding day.
